I absolutely love the wave animation and the icon iTranslate has. With support for speech in 42 languages, iTranslate Voice 2 makes for a worthy companion to the free Google Translate app that is great for text. ITranslate Voice 2 also has things like dictionary results if available and language facts on start up. iTranslate Voice 2 retains AirTranslate that lets you connect to another device with the app installed so the users can talk to each other through the devices. You can edit the languages and adjust settings for each language by tapping the arrow pointing up at the bottom. The app commercial demonstrates how useful this app can be when you’re travelling. Tap one to activate the voice feature for that particular language and when you’re done speaking, tap the icon again or set the app to translate as soon as speech is over. There are two flags in circular buttons at the bottom of the screen. Given how well it performs and feels overall, iTranslate Voice 2 provides a refined iOS 7 experience. The UI is devoid of any gradients and everything from the speech bubbles to the country flags representing languages has been flattened. The app retains the same wireframe for the most part but now sports a new iOS 7 look with some really nice animations sprinkled throughout. Responses are quicker and having suggestions pop up as you type to edit are a welcome addition. It worked near flawlessly for me and the new one is even better. It adds support for the new offline voices in iOS 7 for faster translation and the AirTranslate feature works better using the iOS 7 peer to peer technology. ITranslate Voice 2 goes way beyond an iOS 7 styled update. With iTranslate Voice 2, the app is now universal. The original version was available as separate apps on iPhone and iPad. iTranslate Voice 2 is a paid upgrade for the original iTranslate Voice app that is a translation app with a human touch to it. I’m a huge fan of their work so far, and with their latest release, iTranslate Voice 2, they do not disappoint. Sonico Mobile has been releasing some great apps in the last few years.
